Character Status Upgrade //
Character Status Upgrade is a new stat progression system in ZONE4 MAX Combo that shifts from the traditional "character-locked stats" to a customizable "build-your-own stats" system. This allows players to create diverse builds for all 6 characters, tailoring them to their playstyles and ensuring fair competition in both PvE and PvP.
Why is this system needed?
In the past, the meta forced players to choose only a few characters due to fixed base stats. The new system solves this issue with 3 core concepts:New Upgrade Status allows players to customize their own stats using upgrade points, featuring 1 / 5 / 10 / 20 / MAX buttons to reduce repetitive clicking, along with a STATUS RESET item available at any time.
Balance Implements a level cap per stat to prevent players from going "all-in" on a single stat.
Goal Makes all characters viable, encourages diverse builds, and integrates with other systems (Character Combo Buff / World Boss / Collection).
2. Stat Model //
This system operates on the Type-based stats of ZONE4 MAX Combo.System Keywords
SE – Status point Earned: Upgrade points gained "per 1 level".
TS – Total Status point: "Cumulative" upgrade points at the current level.
M% – Max Status Upgrade %: The maximum percentage cap a "single sub-stat" can have at a specific level (In this spec = 20% fixed).
V – Max Status Value: The maximum point limit per "single sub-stat" at a specific level > Formula: V(L) = round( TS(L) × 20% )

Increases basic "Punch/Strike" damage.

Increases "Grab & Throw" damage.

Increases damage when teaming up on a nearby target.

Increases damage when hitting ≥2 enemies simultaneously.

Increases Ultimate/Special Skill damage.

Reduces damage taken from Punches/Strikes.

Reduces Ultimate/Special Skill damage taken.
HP, SP, Critical Rate, and Critical Damage are displayed on the same panel to show the overall Build. However, upgrades in this system focus entirely on Attack/Defense sub-stats (HP/SP/Crit are obtained from other sources like items).
