Job Description
Leads the visual direction and creative vision of the game, ensuring all artwork, branding, and visual assets maintain a consistent, high-quality style.
Responsibilities
- Establish and oversee the Art Direction to modernize the game for contemporary players, balancing a refreshed aesthetic while preserving the charm and identity of the original title.
- Drive the Art Direction across all visual assets, including characters, environments, and features, ensuring cohesive quality that elevates the overall gameplay experience.
- Collaborate with the CPO to align creative execution with business objectives, ensuring deliverables meet both publisher expectations and player engagement goals within established timelines.
- Define and manage the Art Direction for marketing and web assets, ensuring all promotional materials effectively communicate the brand identity with clarity and impact.
- Develop and implement streamlined workflows and review processes, establishing a clear standard that enables the team to consistently produce high-quality, on-brand assets.
- Cultivate a constructive feedback culture that empowers the team’s growth while maintaining rigorous quality standards and long-term artistic excellence.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Fine Art, Commercial Art, or related creative fields.
- Strong proficiency in creating high-quality game assets, with a proven ability to modernize visual styles while respecting and retaining the core identity of existing IP.
- Deep understanding of UX/UI principles and User Journey mapping, with the ability to leverage art to enhance player engagement and navigation.
- Strategic mindset regarding AI integration. Capable of identifying and applying AI tools across art, video, and UX/UI workflows to elevate quality, enhance creative output, and optimize team time management.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex business and publisher requirements into actionable, market-relevant Art Direction.
- Proven experience in pipeline management and review systems, with a track record of setting standards that ensure production efficiency and consistent output quality.
- Leadership-oriented with a focus on team development. Skilled at providing constructive, growth-focused feedback that elevates both individual potential and overall creative standards.
